It was all about intensity; Sevilla FC's recipe for success.

EUROPA LEAGUE FINAL, BASEL. Liverpool FC came out hungry for victory in tonight's Europa League Final against the reigning Champions. Their intensity quickly put Sevilla FC against the ropes, defending their own goal throughout the first half.
Then came Sturridge's wonderful goal. A joy from the left-footed winger. Unpredictable as is the case with skilled left footed players, his goal gave The Reds the faith they needed to dominate the first 45 minutes. But they had nothing more than that as they would realize after the break.
Despite being the current Champions of the tournament, and having won it 4 times in the past 9 years, the southern Spanish side had looked shocked by the desire and hunger of the Merseyside opposition.
After Unay Emery's speech, the team imagined they were at home in Seville's Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium and not in Basel; they needed to push forward and let themselves be... themselves. 18 seconds after the referee's whistle, french striker Kevin Gameiro -who won't be playing for France in the Euro 16, netted the equalizer without any Liverpool player touching the ball.
The momentum then switched from one side to the other. Sevilla was now able to contain Liverpool and create fast transitions and counterattacks. High pressure, Ever Banega's dropping deep to receive the ball and one-touch long balls forward were the key ingredients.
Captain Coke, a supporting actor was the man of the night scoring a brace. His first goal, after a wonderful one touch with teammate Vitolo, was a crossed shot with heart and precision. The second one, from inside the area and after a dubious position was too much to handle for Jurgen Klopp's boys,
Then came the Ole and other chants that had been silenced by the "You'll Never Walk Alone". And they sang as would sing any supporter whose side reaches 5 trophies and 3 of them consecutive. They are now in the same sentence with Cruyff's Ajax and Beckenbauer's Bayern.
On Sunday 22 of May, they have another Final against FC Barcelona. That they will be a new challenge for this decade's team.
